LOCATION

Luleå is the largest city in Swedish Lapland
Located at the coast of the Bothnian Bay with two rivers and an archipelago with over 1,300 islands, several high-class restaurants and hotels. 10 km outside the city you will find the old town Gammelstad Church Town, one of Sweden’s 15 Unesco world heritage sites. In winter the sea around Luleå freezes and in summer the river and sea give a fresh coastal breeze. A giant playground for all types of winter and summer water activities.

WHAT TO BRING AND WEAR?

In late May in Luleå, the weather is a little bit unpredictable. Usually sunny with temperatures around 10°c to 15°c but can be quite cool in the morning and evening. Be prepared for colder temperatures as we will do outdoor sessions!

We recommend that you bring clothes that allows you to sit by the fire and interact in interesting workshops together with your European colleagues. That includes unsensitive equipment like a warm middle-layer and windbreaker jacket and trousers. Comfortable shoes like hiking/training shoes or similar. If it rains, the outdoor sessions will move inside the old historical buildings at Hägnan.

The gala dinner hold at Elite banquet room welcomes a more festive clothing, but still with a comfortable feeling.

Conference dress code is business casual.

If you have luggage, we will make sure that you can store it safely during the meetings, both on the 21st and the 22nd of May.
